Don’t we all just love our slow cookers? I mean, even before the InstantPot revolution–which I have yet to join–“CrockPots” have been one of our best friends in the kitchen. No one can argue that throwing a few ingredients into a pot, putting the lid on, and turning on the HIGH or LOW setting isn’t one of the coolest ways to get a meal on the table. And your house will smell amazing!
Here is a great, simple, delicious recipe that was very popular on our previous blog. Thank you to Heather Moss, one of our original contributors, who shared this family recipe back in 2012.
We ate two meals on this recipe–of course we are empty-nesters. But you can vary the amount of cube steaks for whatever number of people you are serving.

- Step 3
- Cover everything with Cream of Mushroom soup.
- Step 4
- Place lid on slow cooker and turn to desired temperature–HIGH or LOW–depending on how much time you have. I used HIGH for about 4-5 hours.
If you like this recipe with cubed steak, you will love it with a 3-4 lb. roast. Seriously. Cook it on high for 4-6 hours and oh-my-goodness.
